Albania is a small Balkan country, which is located in the southeast of Europe. Due to the mild Mediterranean climate, low prices, as well as to the two seas: the Adriatic and the Ionian, which wash this State, Albania attracts more and more attention of tourists from different parts of the world.

For travel to Albania, tourists from some countries will need to obtain a visa. But unlike many other European countries, the visa to Albania can be obtained without unnecessary hassle. During the summer season (from April to November) the Albanian authorities cancel the visa regime for tourists from Russia, Belarus and several other countries.

Choosing a route, most tourists stay on a beach holiday in the vicinity of Durres. It is quite logical, as Durres is the nearest to the airport of Rinas a seaside resort, having all the necessary for a comfortable rest and good infrastructure. Durres is the attractive place not only by the Long Beach strip with hotels located on it, but due to architecture Monuments and museums. Also popular are such seaside resorts as the Shenyang, the Vlora and the Saranda, but it is difficult and time consuming to reach them. For such trips it is recommended to rent a car.

In addition to the seaside resorts Albania attracts tourists to ancient cities, such as: the Shkodër, the Berat and the Gjirokastra; National nature reserves, such as: the Theth, the Tomorri, the Valley of Valbona and the LLogara pass; Unique lakes, such as: the Ohrid, the Prespa and the Skadar. It is the capital of the «Eagles Country» – Tirana, where you can visit a number of museums with interesting expositions, climb the cable car to the Mount Dajti, take a stroll through the wonderful Green Central Park, dine in one of the restaurants of the Nazor Italian cuisine and enjoy a cup of delicious coffee. In Tirana there are several large shopping malls and a lot of small shops, so that shoppers will also have something to do. In the immediate vicinity of Tirana one can find – the Tirana International Airport — Nënë Tereza, which from the transport point of view makes this city convenient for tourism.

Since the airport is international, it is possible to make a flight to Albania from anywhere else in the world. However, residents of the most countries of the world cannot make a direct flight to Albania, as direct flights to Tirana can be done only from a small number of cities in Europe (Frankfurt, Vienna, Rome, Istanbul, Athens and from a few others), all the rest will have to do a transfer. Despite the transfer, you can get to Albania quickly enough: on average it takes 7-8 hours.

As a rule, a flight to Albania can be more convenient with the help of the «Turkish Airlines». Experienced travelers who have visited this country, recommend the «Turkish Airlines» as a carrier. First, this airline has the best prices for tickets, if you consider economy class and second — convenient and short (about 3-4 hours, depending on the characteristics of the flight) transit in Istanbul. The second most popular tourist destination in Albania is the Austrian Airlines. This airline flies to Albania with a stopover in Vienna. Tourists especially note the high service, reliability and reasonable prices for BTickets.

If we talk about the airport of Tirana, it has everything you need for a modern traveler: a free Wi-Fi, ATMs, offices of car rental companies, several cafes and shops. At the airport building there is a taxi and public transport stops.
