Shopping and souvenirs in Albania

Along with the opportunity to shop for clothing and souvenirs in some of the resorts of Albania like Durres, Vlore and Saranda, still Tirana remains the center of shopping. You should not expect huge malls and a great variety of brands as in the majority of European countries. However, it is worth while trying shopping opportunity in Albania.

There is a number of shopping malls in Tirana and its suburbs which can be easily reached by car or regular bus lines departing from the city center, the most popular are CityPark, QTU, Tirana East Gate, Casa Italia.

Have a walk down Myslym Shyri Street starting from Rinia park where you can find lots of small shops offering a great variety of clothes, shoes, bags and other accessories made in Italy, Turkey, Greece.

In the Blloku quarter you can find boutiqes of fine italian brands, makeup and perfume stores.

European Trade center with numerous small shops and a Conad supermarket is in Bajram Curri Street.

Exclusive design shopping lovers can visit the Coin, an italian mall with worldwide known Prêt-à-Porter colleactions – Ck Jeans, Guess, Versace, Pepe Jeans, Armani Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Esprit, Roberto Cavalli, Yves Saint Laurent, etc. Coin is located in Papa Gjon Pali II Street near the stadium of Qemal Stafa.

While in Tirana, you will not find such a great number of souvenir shops as in the seaside resorts. However, you will definitely enjoy a visit to Kruja just 20 km away from Tirana where the sightseeing tour can be combined with the shopping in the famous Old Bazaar remained since the Ottoman period. Here are lots of souvenirs shops as well as local artisan shops of fine filigran silver and traditional hadmade items (sheep carpets, embroidered table cloth, jewellry, etc.), and locally produced olive oil, raki, Skanderbeg cognac and other nice trifles for you to remember your wonderful vacation in Albania.
