The wall was built in the ancient times in Aulon which is known today as Vlora. The city was built in antiquity as a Greek colony in the territory of Illyria.

The mosque was built in 1502 and named after the Ottoman Turkish Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror (Sulltan Mehmet Fatihu). Closed by the Communist authorities, it became a cultural monument in 1973.

The ethnographic Museum stands on the site of the house of the Communist dictator of Albania Enver Hoxha from 1944 to 1985. In the Museum all decorated with numerous household items, folk costumes and cultural artifacts typical of a wealthy family of merchants living in the 19th century.
