The obelisk is located near the first Albanian school which had opened in the town in 1908 and is a symbol of education in Albania. The authors of the obelisk are Muntaz Dhrami, Ksenofon Kostaqi, Stefan Papamihali. They awarded the prize in 2008 from the municipality of Gjirokastra for their art work to the city.

National Museum of Medieval Art is a museum dedicated to medieval history and art. The Museum was founded on 24 APR 1980. The Museum houses more than 7,000 objects of art and culture representing various moments in the development of the iconography of Albania.
This is Tirana’s oldest theatre, built in 1940 to honour Mussolini on his visit to Albania. The National Theatre is inaugurated as the first professional albanian theater on 24 May of 1945 in the building where it continues its activity to this day.
The Museum is called “Onufri”, in honor to the Albanian painting Headmaster of XVI Century. The Cathedral is rebuilt during the 1797, and it is the most representative monument of post Byzantine architecture in Berat town.
