The mosque was built in 1502 and named after the Ottoman Turkish Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror (Sulltan Mehmet Fatihu). Closed by the Communist authorities, it became a cultural monument in 1973.

Blue Eye is a unique water spring and natural phenomenon in Albania. A popular tourist attraction, the clear blue water of the river bubbles forth from a stunning, more than fifty-metre-deep pool.
